Enter Wall Street

If everything else I have done this month wasn’t enough, I took a dip into the stock market this past week to gain some small long-term holdings. A few months ago, I had dreams of running the market and getting some big investments. I was going to time the market (do the impossible) and flip the stocks to make thousands. Luckily, I’m not that impulsive (regardless of how April may appear). Instead of diving in immediately, I prepared myself. This is why I am confident about a new investment. (Read the article)

Almost two weeks ago I closed on my first house. It’s fun, exciting, and also the subject of a few other blog entries. But thats not all! Home Buying Jitters

In less than 24 hours I will be buying my first house. A place I will live in for the next 3-5 years on average. A place that I can invite friends to, throw parties, and get a new furry friend (yes, a dog). Needless to say, I’m a bit freaked out because tomorrow I will be writing the largest check of my life so far and getting a small set of keys in return.

Sorry Cable Companies…

As I prepare to move into my new house I am forced to deal with all kinds of services: Utilities, Internet, Cable, etc. In the interest of saving some money I am going to decline cable TV service and see how it goes.
